What did Congressman Burton do for Marion County?

1)    Riley Hospital- $180,000
Riley Connections Telemedicine Program - Funding for sophisticated video cameras, digital stethoscopes and other electronic computer devices, as well as program evaluation expenses.

2)    Riley Hospital – Multi-year Funding
Christian Sarkine Autism Treatment Center.

3)    Snow Storm Recovery
As he has done several times in the past few years when tragedy has struck our State, Congressman Burton, as Dean of the House delegation, is bringing together Indiana’s Senators and bipartisan House delegation to send a letter to President Bush asking him to approve and expedite Governor Daniel’s request for federal assistance to help disaster stricken Hoosier communities affected by the recent snow storm recover.

5)    City of Indianapolis
Mayor Peterson tried to get federal approval to change the City’s internet domain name from Indy.org to Indy.gov in order to enhance e-government services for city residents.  Congressman Burton contacted GSA officials responsible for the decision and urged them to approve the change.  He also worked to rally support from Sens. Lugar and Bayh as well as Rep. Julia Carson for a joint letter to the GSA Administrator urging her to approve the change.
